Job Description The Vertex Co-op Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will work closely with industry professionals in an innovative and team-oriented environment. Students can expect to be challenged by their project plans, connect with other co-ops, and feel valued by the Vertex community. Co-ops will learn about their daily tasks through specific work assignments and will have exposure to organizational leaders and teams. Job Summary The Tech Ops Packaging group supports development, launch, and maintenance of packaging activities, including selecting Contract Manufacturing Organizations to fulfill business needs. Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing plans, designs, data collection methods, and reports. Create materials and tools for process improvement initiatives, including developing a project intake tool with timelines for cross-functional support. Conduct process mapping sessions for business and technical processes. Test packaging components for product launches in 2025 and draft review reports. Meet virtually with Contract Manufacturers and Material Suppliers. Review of Contract Manufacturers. Qualifications Preferred: Experience with Smart Sheets or PowerBI. Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Packaging Sciences or Packaging Engineering. Interest in a career in pharmaceutical packaging. Strong written communication skills. Experience with MS Office applications. Planning and organizational skills. Legal authorization to work in the US, now and in the future. No sponsorship for internships or entry roles. Enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before July 2025. Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from July to December 2025. Program Details Dates: July - December 2025, Full-time Pay Range: $20.00 – $35.00 USD/hour Additional Information This is a temporary role with a third-party agency partner.
