This company prides itself on having knowledgeable, passionate employees who provide a welcoming environment to patients. They are looking to add a Staff Pharmacist (Per Diem) to their team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $60/hr Position Overview: The Staff Pharmacist (Per Diem) will work full shifts at the retail store based on the dispensary's needs and the Pharmacist's schedule. The ideal Staff Pharmacist (Per Diem) will have an interest in medical marijuana and its benefits, as well as be able to take a friendly and engaging approach to patient consultations. Training is provided! The location is open 7 days a week. Responsibilities of the Staff Pharmacist (Per Diem): Thoughtfully consult with patients to educate them on the product offerings and the best selections for their needs and accommodations. Assist with documentation and regulatory procedures regarding deliveries and shipments. Train staff regarding policy and procedures, looking for new ways to make the site more efficient and welcoming for patients. Assist in audits and complete documentation for any discrepancies. Review medical cards for legitimacy. Create effective systems for internal organization and communication. Complete necessary, state-required paperwork and maintain organized documentation. Set the tone as a mentor and leader in the dispensary among the staff. Assist as needed with needs in the dispensary. Required Experience/Skills for the Staff Pharmacist (Per Diem): Be a Connecticut State licensed Pharmacist (recent Pharm D grads welcome to apply). Knowledge of medical marijuana is a plus, but must, at least, be supportive and excited about the benefits of cannabis. Professional communication skills- oral and written. Ability to learn and operate new software and POS systems. Leadership ability. The ability to empathize and communicate effectively with myriad patients. Education Requirements: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or applicable education coupled with a CT License.
