GE Appliances is seeking a results-driven Senior Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead and grow sales within the Retail Independent Dealer and National Account channels throughout Northern California. This high-impact role covers a dynamic territory including and north of the San Francisco Bay Area through the Sacramento region. The ideal candidate will live within this area and thrive in a fast-paced, relationship-oriented sales environment. As a Senior ASM, you’ll own the full sales lifecycle—from executing floor merchandising and product training, to managing pricing strategies, fulfillment, and customer service. You’ll be a key connector between GE Appliances and our retail partners, driving growth and elevating the in-store brand experience. Position Senior Area Sales Manager - Retail (Northern California) Location USA, San Francisco, CA How You'll Create Possibilities Key Responsibilities: Manage and grow assigned retail sales territory in Northern California, with significant travel throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento markets. Drive sales of GE Appliances products through independent dealers and national retail accounts. Identify and develop new business opportunities while nurturing existing relationships. Execute regional sales and margin plans; analyze performance data to drive decisions. Design and implement strategic merchandising and promotional programs to increase sell-through and profitability. Deliver engaging and effective product training presentations for retail sales associates. Conduct ROI analyses and margin evaluations to inform pricing and promotional strategies. Serve as the frontline contact for customer concerns, resolving issues quickly and professionally. Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and goal-tracking documents. Represent GE Appliances’ values and brand with integrity and professionalism. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. What You'll Bring to Our Team Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years of successful B2B or retail sales experience. Demonstrated ability to manage a large, geographically dispersed territory. Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Willingness to travel extensively by car across Northern California. Preferred: Prior experience in the appliance, consumer electronics, or home goods industry. Background in retail account management or channel sales. Experience with GE Appliances or similar brand portfolios. Proficiency in developing sales strategies and executing marketing plans. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights. Familiarity with sales enablement tools and CRM systems. Understanding of advertising, in-store promotions, and retail marketing tactics. GE Appliances offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including 401(k), medical, dental, and vision healthcare plans, as well as paid vacation. The base salary range for this role is $72,700.00 - $130,900.00 . Your actual salary will be determined based on your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's requirements and responsibilities.
