Summer Photography Internship – Real Estate Focus

Hornig Companies seeks an individual with photography and editing experience to participate in a 3-month full-time real estate photography initiative throughout our portfolio of Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area apartments and townhomes.

What will my duties be?

• Capture Property Photos – Take professional-quality photographs of both interiors and exteriors of residential buildings, including detail shots and wide angles to showcase features.
• Edit and Post-Processing - Enhance images by adjusting lighting, color correction, cropping and removing distracting elements to maximize appeal as well as edit and virtually stage photos for marketing purposes.
• Collaborate and Communicate – Collaborate with owners and property managers to understand their needs and preferences as they apply to photo shoots and final work product.
• Virtual Tours and Videos – Create virtual tours or short video clips of properties to offer potential renters a more immersive experience.

What should I bring to the team?

• Photography expertise with proficiency in using cameras, lenses and necessary equipment as well as a strong understanding of composition and aesthetics
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, interacting effectively with residents, owners, vendors and team members
• Skilled in using photo editing software. Proficient in MS Outlook for email exchange.

• Ability to speak, write and effectively communicate in English

• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

• Ability to be at work when scheduled and arrive in a timely manner
• Ability to sit, bend, stand, walk and reach regularly
• Ability to walk up and down stairs throughout the course of the work day
• Ability to drive, access to transportation and the ability to meet car insurance requirements
• Ability to lift 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds regularly
• Thorough knowledge of job hazards and applicable safety precautions to complete work in the safest manner possible
