Job Description

ActioNet has an opportunity for a Data Center Manager requiring a SECRET clearance in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Hybrid work is available. You will play a multifaceted role and be the main Point of Contact (POC) to oversee the management of day-to-day operations, maintenance, and new installations within our data centers. The ideal candidate will have extensive data center management experience and a strong understanding of IT infrastructure. The right candidate will work well with a team, exhibit excellent customer service skills, be self-motivated, and seek ways to improve the environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day operations and maintenance of the data centers including planning and coordination, ensuring high availability and performance, managing staff and vendors. Manage new installations and upgrades within data centers. Ensure data center infrastructure is reliable and efficient. Collaborate with other teams to support data center operations. Develop and implement data center policies and procedures. Provide technical support and guidance to team members. Basic Qualifications (required): 8+ years of experience in data center management including managing and leading large multi-cloud hybrid-cloud environments. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and data center operations. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, or related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Centre Expert (CDCE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Data Center, Project Management Professional (PMP)).
