ABOUT THE TEAM
The Customer Delivery Engagement (CDE) organization is the global team within SAP Enterprise Cloud Services overseeing all aspects of Customer Engagement from the point of sale throughout the entire lifecycle, providing commercial, project, and technical operations expertise. They deliver fixed-scope, proactive, and outcome-based services across the SAP software stack to SAP’s RISE customers.
The CDE team consolidates all customer-facing roles within ECS and presents SAP as "One Voice" through coordinated communication at all levels to our clients, internal and external stakeholders. We are dedicated to customer centricity, client intimacy, and supporting the customer lifecycle.
We create a stable foundation for our customers’ IT operations and support their digital transformation journey to the intelligent enterprise based on S/4HANA. With continuous access to our expertise and the broader SAP network, our customers can leverage the latest technologies for business innovation. THE ROLE
As a Client Delivery Manager (CDM), you will be an accomplished Senior SAP Technical Consultant, consistently delivering high-quality results. As a key member of ECS, you will contribute to SAP's global strategy of helping customers adopt SAP S/4HANA on their path to the Intelligent Enterprise.
The CDM acts as a trusted technical and delivery advisor, safeguarding and optimizing customer investments in SAP ECS. The CDM owns the customer landscape, advising on critical and complex landscape changes during lifecycle management. You will work with ECS internal service delivery teams to serve and delight customers by providing quality services throughout their lifecycle.
This customer-facing role focuses on large and strategic customers within the Enterprise Cloud Services delivery organization.
The key tasks include:
Being the primary contact for technology and cloud service delivery discussions with the customer.
Conducting regular meetings with stakeholders and managing service delivery expectations, acting as the first escalation point.
Owning technical discussions and coordinating experts from SAP delivery teams.
Understanding the customer landscape and its interdependencies within ECS and beyond.
Supporting the account and TechOps teams in executing service delivery plans.
Analyzing customer technical requirements and coordinating ECS experts to resolve issues.
Presenting technical details and engagement models to stakeholders.
Supporting the development of customer-specific cloud roadmaps covering infrastructure, security, and integration.
Guiding customers on technical topics such as Business Continuity, Security & Compliance, Networks, etc.
Assessing security and network requirements to meet SAP security standards.
Conducting monthly technical and operational reviews to track progress and resolve issues.
Supporting migration roadmaps with partners and SAP Professional Services.
Possessing comprehensive knowledge of S/4HANA architecture, migration paths, and tools.
Understanding SAP cloud solutions and integration scenarios with BTP, Ariba, SuccessFactors, etc.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Management.
High proficiency in SAP products, offerings, and industry solutions.
Strong technical project management and customer-facing experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Engagement management, relationship-building, and de-escalation skills.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Understanding of SAP solutions, releases, and platform interdependencies.
Knowledge of operational aspects of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
Understanding of hyperscale cloud capabilities (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Willingness to travel as needed.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 6+ years of SAP Basis administrative duties.
6+ years of customer-facing SAP technical consulting.
Experience in solution design, enterprise architecture, SAP implementation.
At least 4 years in technical project management for SAP operations or implementation.
SAP NetWeaver, OS/DB migration, SAP HANA, TOGAF certifications are advantageous.
Experience with IaaS providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and certifications are a plus.
Knowledge of SAP HANA and S/4HANA is beneficial but not mandatory.
Understanding of cloud security, cybersecurity, encryption, and key management is preferred.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP values pay transparency, providing an annualized compensation range of $71,000-$161,000 USD, including base salary and incentives.
